A small chess set made of wood with a king size of 69 mm (2.7"). The pieces are felted with burgundy and beige felts, but not weighted. The set was probably made in Germany in the second half of the 20th century. Apart from the unusual heads of the bishops and pawns and the rooks as tall turrets with eight crenellations, the set shows another peculiarity which is noticeable only on second sight: the kings and queens have different crowns and coronets.
