The chess pieces shown here are a variation of this set. The main difference is that the overall appearance of the set is more sturdy, with even broader bases on the pawns and thicker shafts on the pieces. The shape of the knights' heads is almost in rectangular shape. In fact, they remind me of the angular head of my beloved Airedale terrier "Jesko", which is why I labelled them "Terrier" knights.
