One of my early refurbishment projects. Together with one of my antique chess sets, I received a wooden board dated mid 19th century, but it was really worn and scratched. By applying a slight french polish, I tried to restore some of its former glory without losing the image of an intensely used antique board. The colour difference in the last picture is attributable to the "before" part being taken in daylight, whereas the "after" part was taken in artificial light.
