Tailormade Solid Wood Board (Purple Heart / Cherry), USA, 2018
Borderless 15" chess board, custom made by Ansel Ringler of Estatoe Woodworks in a combination of Purple Heart & Cherry wood. I ordered the board without finish, as I wanted to apply the finish myself. Since the board is made of solid wood, I tried out one side with a matte finish and the other with a high gloss finish. The individual square size is 45 x 45 mm.
