Soviet Chess Set "Botvinnik-Flohr I", ca. 1940-1950

Soviet chess set as used in the era of Mikhail Botvinnik and Salo Flohr, i.e. in the 1940's/1950's, hence this pattern is also referred to among chess collectors as "Botvinnik Flohr I". King size is 4". The pieces are made from wood. Despite the size, the set is unfortunately not weighted. Still it is in almost pristine condition and a very nice specimen of this particular type of set.
