Indian Chess Set, which was presumably made in Goa in the first half of the 20th century, ca. 1920. The set is made from camel bone, one side is stained black, the other side is left natural. King size is 3.4". The Kings of slender shape with tulip shaped crowns and a cross finial, the Queens with ogee shaped crowns and bud finials, the Bishops with oval shape stylised and cleft mitres, Knights as horses' heads, Rooks as slim turrets, Pawns with oval shaped finials.
