Another chess set from the southern Kingdom of Romania, that again shows some similarity with Vienna sets. This is also to be dated to the early 20th century. Once more a set which shows signs of intensive use, with some chips and damages here and there, inter alia a missing finial on the black queen, and at least two replaced pieces. What is interesting about this set are the pointed finials which are similar in shape on the kings, bishops and pawns and the fact that the bishops' heads are not in the opposite colour, which distinguishes the bishops from those in Vienna coffee house sets.
