Dear visitor, I am pleased that you are interested in my collection. I have never been a particularly good chess player. But I always had an interest in the history and aesthetics of chess. So at some point it was obvious that I should also take a closer look at the history of chess pieces. The deeper I immersed myself in the craftsmanship, the different styles, the different materials and the many other aspects of historical chess pieces, the more I was fascinated. Even though I have only been collecting chess pieces and other chess related items for a few years, collecting has become a true passion for me. I hope to be able to pass on a little of this passion with this website.
